Training in Monitoring and Evaluation for six civil society organizations
The Embassy of France recently organised a one-day workshop in Abuja on Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) for project design and implementation for six Nigerian civil society organisations (CSOs).
This training was opened by Mr. Héloïs Ellien, Cooperation Attaché, and moderated by an independent consultant, Mr. Idem Udoekong.
The ten participants, operating across a wide range of sectors and coming from multiple cities across Nigeria (Abuja, Lagos, Nasarawa, Kaduna), were given the chance to explore a number of M&E tools and methodology that are crucial for the achievement of meaningful development outcomes. Each organization had the opportunity to share its M&E strategy with the others to revisit and improve their existing projects.
This initiative complements the support provided by the French Embassy to beneficiaries of the PISCCA programme (Innovative Projects for Civil Societies and Coalitions of Actors), a funding instrument for strengthening the capacity of Nigerian civil society to implement local initiatives.
