Tordre: The Contemporary Dance Performance Records an Impressive Turnout

The Institut français du Nigéria, in partnership with the Krump dance studios and the CCN2 (Centre chorégraphique national de Grenoble), had the pleasure of hosting the contemporary dance performance “TORDRE” in Abuja on the 7th of December.

The show was the last performance of an African tour organised by the Institut français Paris and a worldwide tour of 20 countries. It was launched by the Ambassador of France in Nigeria in front of an audience of about 200, mostly Nigerians.

This show falls within a wider project around dance being implemented by the Institut français du Nigéria for the past two years in order to improve the exposure of contemporary dance in Abuja and reinforce this specific sector.

Building on that success, the Institut français du Nigéria will continue, in 2018, to give the next generation of Nigerian dancers and choreographers, an opportunity to interact with more established artists and express their thoughts on contemporary dance and its progression in Nigeria and the world over.
