Three Nigerian winners at the 4th edition of the Digital Lab Africa

Digital Lab Africa (DLA) is a mentoring and incubation program for African creatives in digital content: immersive realities, games, music, animation, Web production… launched by the French Institute of South Africa in 2016.

Since 2018, it has been a full-fledged program of Tshimologong Precinct, an incubator based in Johannesburg, supported by the French Development Agency (AFD). The goal of DLA is to incubate new creative talents by offering a model to accelerate their projects with the support and expertise of French leading companies in the creative industries.

For this 4th edition, DLA offered a Nigerian focus with the selection of three projects from the video game, animation and virtual reality’ sectors. This focus is the result of a partnership between the French Embassy in Nigeria and the Tshimologong Precinct.

The list of winners was announced on June 19th, during an online conference organized within the virtual edition of the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. The winners will participate to an international event in France and benefit from an incubation program with a French company.
