France/University of Jos: signature of a Letter of Intent

On September 5, 2017, the Embassy of France in Nigeria and the University of Jos signed a letter of intent symbolizing the strong will of both institutions to strengthen their relationship and implement new cooperation projects.

Even though the letter was only signed on September 2, the Embassy of France in Nigeria and the University of Jos have worked closely in the past months on the development of several projects, such as the Cross-Cultural Dialogue Festival which took place in July in Jos.

The Embassy of France has decided to further support the University of Jos by funding a scientific visit to different French Universities and Laboratories. The Vice Chancellor will leave for France in September with two members of his staff to meet collegues in some French prestigious universities such as Polytechnique Paris, University of Lyon, Sciences Po Paris and University of Grenoble Alpes. The objective of this visit is to identify potential partners in France and to develop cooperations in strategic fields identified by the University of Jos: Mathematics, Energy & Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, etc.
