Nigeria at the 2022 livestock summit in France
Nigeria largely represented at the 31st Livestock Summit, in Cournon-d’Auvergne (Puy-de-Dôme), from October 4 to 7, 2022.
Since 1992, the Livestock Summit has been an exceptional showcase of French know-how in animal production and genetics.
Animal presentations, technical innovations, business meetings, professional events and conferences are each year on the agenda.
With more than 1,500 exhibitors, 2,000 animals, 180,000 m2 of exhibition space and more than 100,000 visitors (including 5,000 international visitors), this 2022 edition was once again the unmissable event for professionals in the sector.
This year again, Nigeria was largely represented by around a hundred professionals from the milk and meat value chains (cattle, sheep, goats, pigs): genetic improvement, pastures, animal feed, processing and conservation, animal hygiene and health, etc.
Throughout the week, they were able to meet breeders and professional organizations in the livestock, agricultural machinery, supplies and services for livestock, buildings, renewable energies and new technologies sectors, and benefit from visits to farms organized especially for them, on the sidelines of the Summit, in order them to enjoy the excellence of the French breeding sectors.
Partnership agreements are being drawn up in the areas of animal feed, genetic improvement of cattle and pigs, processing and preservation of dairy products, and animal health and welfare.
