Nigeria at Paris Games Week!

The French Embassy in Nigeria and the Lagos State Government, in partnership with France Esport, have selected leading Nigerian sports and gaming companies to participate in Paris Games Week 2022.

Organised by Comexposium on behalf of the S.E.L.L (Syndicat des Editeurs de Logiciels de Loisirs), Paris Games Week is the federating event for video games. It brings together enthusiasts and professionals from the sector.

The Paris Games Week or "PGW", which took place from 2 to 6 November at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, welcomes more than 300,000 visitors per year, it is the largest French video games exhibition, the 2nd largest in Europe and the 5th largest in the world.

The Embassy of France and the State of Lagos are committed to working together with the Nigerian private sector to build the capacity of esports players and support their growth, both nationally and internationally.

The French Embassy, as part of its Memorandum of Understanding with the Lagos State Government to support and strengthen the Nigerian esport ecosystem, took a delegation of over 30 members to Paris Games Week.

Present at the event were the Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Mr. Olusegun Dawodu, the Chairman of the Lagos State Sports Commission, Mr. Sola Aiyepeku, the Director General of the Lagos State Sports Commission, Mr. Gafaar Bolowotan, among others.

The Nigerian private sector was represented by event organisers GamR, Kon10dr, 10N8E, Maliyo Games Studios, Zannoza and training and game developers Kucheza.
