As from October 2017, all Nigerian French teachers, lecturers and education specialists will be able to gain access to the IFProfs Nigeria website: https://ng.ifprofs.org/

A tool for cooperation, training, development in IT skills or even spreading news regarding Education in French, the website offers free access to thousands of teaching and training resources and allows users to share and exchange resources with other teachers across 45 countries and 5 continents.

The website was created as part of the bilateral cooperation project between France and Nigeria “French teaching support for Institutions of Higher education in Nigeria”. The French Embassy and the Federal Ministry of Education organized a training on the 10th and 11th of October for 14 facilitators who will be charged with assisting the new users and overseeing the functioning of the website. This training session was then followed by an official launching event on the 12th of October in Lagos. In attendance were the French Consul General, M. Laurent Polonceaux and the Permanent Secretary of the education district 3 in Lagos, Mrs. Solarin Margaret. In the days following the first presentation workshops were organized in Kano, Maiduguri, Akwanga and Abuja.
