On September 12, 2017, the National Universities Commission (NUC) welcomed the main Higher Education stakeholders, including the Embassy of France in Nigeria to discuss and validate the draft National Policy on OER for Higher Education in Nigeria.
On September 5, 2017, the Embassy of France in Nigeria and the University of Jos signed a letter of intent symbolizing the strong will of both institutions to strengthen their relationship and implement new cooperation projects.
On September 9, a celebration was organized in Kano State Government House to congratulate the graduate assistants and lecturers who will be travelling to France this year in order to pursue their Master degree. They will join 11 others scholars who left for France last year with the same goal.
